Wines to go

Plan de Dieu a Cotes Du Rhone wine from France, I bought this wine in the Lidl in St Junien France for around 4.50 euros, not very expensive but a great wine its an appellation and it went very well with the pan fried duck I bought, I find that most Cotes Du Rhone wines are pretty good, they are usually deep in colour and fruity in taste. This wine is well worth buying, taking home and drinking.

Muscadet white wine bought in a 3ltr box, you may think wine in a box can not be that good, but it is, very easy to drink, light and fruity especially good when ice cold. This wine was bought in the Super U in France, its a wine you can drink many glasses of and goes well with salads and chicken.
Even though it's in a box it still is an appellation grade wine and for 12.50 euro for around 4 bottles it's great value.
Buy it and love it, this won't last to long trust me

 Sauvignon Blanc white wine from New Zealand, this wine comes from the Marlborough region and is pretty typical of what you get from there. The wine tastes of gooseberries and is fresh and refreshing. This wine can be bought in Lidl Uk and costs around £5.99, which is very reasonable if not cheap for this type of wine. For the cost the wine is really good, easy to drink and great for parties or wine with friends at the weekend. Food wise it goes with most foods, well I have it with most things.

 Sauvignon Blanc white wine from South Africa, this is a strong and deep white wine a little heavier than the New Zealand wines, it is strong in taste and reminds me of a light Chardonnay. It works well with creamy pastas and fish. This wine can be bought from Costco Uk and costs around £7.50 a bottle. I'd say this wine is more for the acquired pallet due to it's depth of flavour, more suited with nice food at a dinner party than an easy drinker on a weekend.

Le Moneda Malbec wine from Chile, this wine is a reserve and is lively and fruity. It has good depth and is very pleasant to drink, it's red and ruby in colour and easy to drink, like a velvety chocolate. This wine goes great with steaks or even a chili. You can buy this wine from Asda for around £6.50 a bottle which isn't to bad, you may even buy more once you taste it. It doesn't break the bank and is a good social wine. I was surprised with this wine and I think you maybe to.

 Wairau Cove Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand Marlborough. This is a real party wine, great to drink at any time of year, This wine tastes of gooseberry and passion fruit and is lively and refreshing. It goes extremely well with grilled fish and is suited alongside Asian food as well. To me this wine is home from work, kick the shoes off, grab an empty wine glass and pour in your evening, lovely tipple.
Wairau Cove can be bought in Tesco for around £7, however at times it can be found on offer there, which is even better again. Buy this wine cos you'll love it.

 Chateauneuf du Pape les Courlandes 2012 appellation de controles. Most Chateauneuf wines are pretty good, this wine was packed with flavour, a deep ruby in colour and silky on the tongue. It is in my opinion even better when left to air for a few hours, but if you don't want to then don't worry it's still great. It goes well with red meats and even a beef Sunday roast. It's easy to drink and leaves a lovely lingering taste in your mouth. This bottle was from Asda and cost around £11 which was pretty good value for such a good wine. This wine is more expensive than most in the supermarket but worth the purchase for a special dinner or occasion.
